Level 1 teacher

A Level 1 Teacher is also know as an assistant swimming teacher. They work under the supervision of a Level 2 Teacher who is a more highly qualified instructor.
The pre-requisites to become a Level 1 Teacher is that you must be 16 years old, be self-employed, hold liability insurance and have an enhanced DBS check.

You must then complete the Swim England Level 1 Award Certificate in Teaching Aquatics.
